Everywhere is an ideal picnic ground: under the shade of any of the over 800 mango trees and other exotic fruit trees (e.g. water apple, star fruit, guava, banana, coconut, santol, chico, Java plum, durian, lanzones, Spanish plum, jackfruit, breadfruit, rambutan, etc.) down by the 2 par-3 holes sharing a common fairway, overlooking the Thoroughbred stables; or right across the Ostrich corral. A stroll around brings many discoveries: multi-colored wildflowers waiting to be picked...a grove of hardwoods canopying exotic birds and plants... a meandering stream lined with taro and bird of paradise growths... and a seemingly endless expanse of grass, herbs and shrubs.

At the farmhouse, the kitchen awaits hungry trekkers with whole loaves of home-made bread, a choice of spreads, wines, and gourmet dishes to be savored with gusto, like the sights all around. Refreshing drinks of fresh-from-the-tree buko juice can be had year in and year out. Fresh milk from our own Holstein dairy cows is now available. Others like fresh eggs, some herbs and spices are now being produced in the farm. Native delicacies like thin and tasty rice cakes are just a couple of miles away, in the quaint little market where merchants cradle their piglets like babies. Vegetables abound since the town is part of the province's food basket. The air is crisp and cool, safe from pollutants like dust and chemical exhaust. The sounds are a balm to the spirit - no blast of horns and irritating decibels banging on one's ears - melodic birdsongs, rustling of leaves, neighs and occasional thumping of hooves on the grassy ground. It is, indeed, a verdant paradise.
